Chamber Committees
Ambassadors
The Ambassadors are the face of the Chamber. They welcome members and guests to events, attend ribbon cuttings, organize membership campaigns and encourage member participation in Chamber events.
Economic and Government Affairs Committee
This committee works with the cities of Port Orange and South Daytona as well as the County on issues affecting the business community. Members stay informed on local development and connect businesses with available resources. They assist businesses with relocation or expansion in the area, and schedule regular meetings to connect members with elected officials.
Workforce Development
Working with the area schools, this team explores opportunities to connect Chamber members with local students. Members participate in Career Fairs, presentations on business skills and principles, and other programs and topics to help young people prepare for their future.
Leadership Port Orange South Daytona
Leadership is a program made up of nine half-day sessions over nine weeks, designed to inform and develop leadership in the community. A steering committee of past Leadership graduates plan the program, which is offered each year. The sessions are on topics including education, economic development, health and human services, environment, culture, history, criminal justice and team building. The program also includes a day devoted to a Leadership Skills module.
Leads Exchange Groups I, II, III & IV
Small Groups of Chamber members meet regularly to exchange business contacts and information of interest. These groups are limited to one representative per business classification. See below for information on group times and availability or call the chamber office.

Special Events
Several events are organized by the Chamber each year to supplement income from membership dues. Events include an Annual Golf Tournament, “A Tasteful Affair” showcase of member restaurants and caterers, silent auctions, business showcases and other events as determined by the Board of Directors. Committee members plan the events and recruit sponsors and volunteers as needed.
