It's almost time to send the kids back to school, and many will need help to get the supplies they cannot afford.  The Basket Brigade is putting together 125 backpacks filled with school supplies for students in need.  They need backpacks, packs of crayons, pens and pencils, highlighters, glue sticks, Elmers Glue, notecards, paper, folders, erasers, markers, scissors, pencil cases, spiral notebooks and composition notebooks.  If you would be willing to help sponsor a backpack or donate items, drop them off at the Chamber or send a note to info@pschamber.com.  The Basket Brigade will pick them up from your business.

Firefighter for Kids, a 501(c)(3) organized by local Firefighter Ricky Francois, is collecting donations for school supplies for children in need.  He has recently joined the Chamber.  If you would like to help, visit www.firefighterforkids.org

Congratulations to winners of the Daytona News Journals Reader's Choice Awards.  Fashion Safari, owned by Rose Shapiro,  was voted Best Consignment Shop and Best Women's Apparel!
