, to honor Port Orange and South Daytona educators. This year the committee has made some great changes to this already wonderful event. All 13 schools will have a "winner" selected by their school principals, and each will be honored at the luncheon sponsored by Amber's Jewel Catering and awarded a basket filled with goodies!

Paddle into the sunset on a Kayak Tour & Wine Tasting! Saturday, March 29, 4:30 - 6:30pm, Sunset Quay Outfitters and WineStyles will be launching from Sunset Quay, 6296 South Ridgewood, Port Orange, and paddling for 45 minutes to a local beach to indulge in a wine tasting presentation and returning to the Quay with the sun setting upon their return. $45 pp, $35 BYOB (bring your own boat!) The South Daytona Police Dept. and the Daytona Beach Shores Department of Public Safety will host the 11th Annual Kids and Cops Fishing Tournament on Saturday, May 17 at Sunglow Pier. The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Port Orange is an overnight community celebration of life dedicated to present and former cancer patients, their families and friends. Relay For Life raises funds for the American Cancer Society while declaring that cancer can and will be beaten. The event will be held April 25-26, 2008 at City Center Circle, and there is a place for everyone at Relay.
